Well, you learn something new every day!
After all this time of using Wordpress as my blogging software, I only figured out yesterday, that if I am logged into the program that the text areas to type in author, email and website info, does not show up! Who knew?! Not me. Duh!
The other day I posted:
Somewhere along the way of me tinkering with my styles sheet, comment template, and live preview template, I did something that I should not have, because comment author name, email and website address text areas have disappeared.
Well, after 4 days, of undoing and redoing all of my changes I logged in (had been going through FTP for changes) to delete a spam comment that was in moderation file. Didn’t log out, just opened a new tab to work on site again, and there was my nemesis, back again. See, I finally had got the text areas to show up again after all my undoing of changes and deactivating plugins, etc., or so I thought. And here it was again, missing text areas. So, this time I backtracked, one change at a time.
And then something clicked… no, not possible. Is it?
So, I tested my thought. I logged completely out of my site, reloaded the page and there it was, the text area. So, I logged back in, and look, it’s gone again.
Damn, why didn’t I think about that possibility earlier? All this wasted time and energy on something that was apparently working correctly in the first place. Very aggravating.
So, now, I have re-added the changes I undid, again, and reactivated the live comment preview section, although I still have a question about something, which I am hoping that Brad will be able to help me with. I think it is probably something that I need to just tweak, but still, even the way it is, it is a great plugin.
Hoping that your day is a great day!
Wow… it’s in English and it flashes my non-picture while I type and the words show up… coolness. This is really neat. The picture flashing is a little freaky, but I love the words printing in a preview in real time. That rocks!
