The outbreak of storms on May 10 (2008) injured many and took the lives of others, including one whose mission it was to save lives.
At just 21 years of age, Tyler Casey died Monday, May 12, 2008, from injuries he suffered Saturday, May 10, 2008, while trying to warn others of a tornado along the Missouri-Oklahoma border. Tyler was a volunteer firefighter with the Seneca Area Fire Protection District and a storm spotter.
He leaves behind a young daughter with another child on the way. A memorial fund has been set up:

Thanks for the link, I try to keep up with Moose’ blog at least once a month, had not seen it yet.
I hope that there was at least one chaser with them that actually knew what they were doing. Am glad they made it back safely.
If he wants to do something good to help those, including that hog farmer, then he should see the next post. I had actually meant to put it up already, so thanks for the reminder Mr. Milkman. ;)
You’ll have to email or call, and catch me up on everything, I miss hearing about the kids!
How awful! I hadn’t heard about it.
