Ruddy Turnstone Arenaria interpres
Anastasia State Park, St. Augustine Beach, Florida
I got to watch two of these little fellows as they picked their way across the sand near the fishing table area. It was fascinating watching as they turned every shell over, as they turned the tiny pebbles over, and even picked up the shells of shrimp, the meat of them long gone.

Thought I would share just a few of the images I captured when I went to St. Augustine, FL. Going back to the Alligator Farm Zoological Park will definitely be on my list of ‘must do’.
