Being born and raised in Florida has given me a natural appreciation of nature. My interests vary widely, from peering into the dark skies, to imaging a beautiful Great Blue Heron as it takes flight, to laying down on the ground to grab that tiny frog that now seems so big on image.
From coast to coast, top to bottom, the people, wildlife, nature, landscape and architecture of Florida is as varied as my images. It encompasses all, as I hope that my images do too.
But I don’t want to stop at just my home state, with time, I hope to show even more. The images in the galleries will change over time as I try to give just a glimpse of the world that I see, ever changing, ever growing, and hopefully becoming better as I do.
Some of my photography equipment includes: Canon 5D and the 300D camera bodies, and my lens assortment includes Canon 400mm, 70-200mm, 100mm macro; Tamron 28-75mm; Tokina 12-24mm, as well as Canon extension tubes and extenders. I use Lowepro, Canon Bags as well as an LL Bean’s Bob Krist Bag, Gitzo 1325 Carbon Fiber Tripod, Wimberley Wimberley Head II (WH-200) along with Wimberley flash bracket, and use the AlienBee DigiBee setup (with different light stands) for some location work. As well as other nifty gadgets, just ask me.
Some of my astronomical gear includes: Vixen R200SS Richfield f/4 Newtonian Reflector, 8″ Meade 2080 f/10 SCT, Orion 80mm f/7.5 ED APO-Chromatic Refractor, Losmandy G-11 with Gemini, SBIG STV Deluxe, Philips ToUcam PRO II, Pyramid converters, Kendrick dew heaters, controllers & battery packs, TeleVue Nagler & Panoptic lenses and like my camera equipment, there are other gadgets, just ask.
